Sometimes the weight of loss seems unbearble. We all have someone we know we will always miss....
Every Flower Dies
by Joyce Melton
Last night
I saw the moonlight sparkle in your eyes
And my heart finally came to realize
I’ve always known the truth behind the lies
Love is just a bloom that flowers then it dies.
Spring’s hope is in a bee’s buzzing song
Summer suns help guide love along
Harvest colors should make us wise
That winter comes when every flower dies.
Some day I know you will remember me
A touch, a kiss, a sigh of memory
Years and miles and more between us lie
And the bloom of a love that had to die.
With luck we’ll never see again
The pain in each the other’s eyes
A glance of sorrow shared and then
We hide away behind our lies.
Tonight I must plan to sleep alone
Moonlight will not sparkle in my eyes
Yesterday’s seeds were cast and sown
For some tomorrow when every flower dies.

this one hurts my heart
do you need some huggles, dear?
Hugs!
Couldn't hurt!
Thanks,
Erin
