Not sure

I enjoyed the general flow of the story. There are some big unanswered questions regarding who is controlling what goes one in the town. While I wouldn't called this forced-fem, IT is rather pushy. Tom is obviously vulnerable, and I question this approach of getting in touch his feminine side. Again, this is the pushy thing I was talking about. The thing about the insurance company holding the purse strings bother me when they seem to depend on people like Gypsy to screen prospects. Doesn't seem that companies that is ruled by how the numbers work out would have much in common with Tarot Readers. Of course the companies might be so successful because of the Tarot Readers giving useful advice about policies. Hmmm.... isn't that kinda like insider trading? :)

PS: The downside of posting in chapters is that you can get the wrong impression of where the story is headed since you're only getting pieces at a time. More bread crumbs please?

Maybe not "Forced"

I've read at least the first part of this elsewhere. While it's not exactly what I'd call "forced", it is manipulation bordering on coercion. Left me feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Hmmmmm ...

I'm wondering if there is an iron fist beneath the mild velvet forced femme glove? What would have been done, really, if Tom had said coldly as soon as the gag was removed , "I want these things off, NOW, I want my clothes back, and then I'm outta here as soon as my car is ready!" - especially if they thought he might go to the state police or somesuch? The shackles and gag were not a good portent of things to come. There is also a bit of inconsistency here:

** "I have a slight sadistic streak in me. I find the idea of a grown man running around my house in garter belts and lacey panties, especially adorable rumba panties, so deliciously enticing! ... "Okay, Terri. Please understand I am not trying in any way to be mean..." **

Sounds mean to me. Then there's the whole "Mommy" thing. Are there diapers just waiting to be brought out? Was there something in the tea to keep him docile and open to "suggestion", perhaps?

Hmmmmm ...

I also remember this story from somewhere else, or one very similar, but the transformation was much more subtle and had to do with the boarding house at which the hero(ine) stayed.

Reference to "The Prisoner" Noted

Reference to Nr 6 and Nr One, recalled to memory a very unusual TV series in Britain, called "The Prisoner", set in fact in a strangely architectured village in Mid Wales called in Real Life Portmerion, where there is a famous pottery among other things.

This story is also on the edge between everything being paradisical and the hidden, subtle control of tyranny - even when for one's own good. Some of us used to perceive Freedom as the most important thing in life. As one gets older, and has to see over and over again the mess weak and stupid humans make when allowed to make their own decisions about things, one begins to think "Nobody should be allowed out without their Keepers", if only that had one!

This is one of the disappointing dilemmas of Real Life. Authors, in the world of imagination, can do things so much better! Perhaps, if I can survive another 70 years observing and thinking about humans and their strange behaviour, I will be able to reconcile the desire for freedom with the need to guide and protect from harm.... What a subtle and interesting story this is. So thought-provoking.

This is an interesting tale that could either be a cross dresser's fondest dream or worst nightmare depending upon how it unfolds. Having Terri about to prance around the house in lingerie and heels was a nice touch. I look forward to your next installment.
