Now that FM is back in biz and Storysite is posting new stories, have the readers who found BC in the interim flown?
What has happened to the number of hits over the last month?

Consistancy
People know where the consistency is at. They also know where they can come if they want their stories posted seconds after they submit them. And they also know where to come where they won't be abused by trolls. BCTS is tops in my book. For all of those categories, they earn my loyalty.

Down about 10%
Not surprising. The drop when Storysite came back was bigger and June is always lower than May anyway. We peaked in Feb at about 12,500 per day and are now averaging about 9,500 a day. About a 25% drop from peak. This is near the nadir of the year, normally. Summer months are always slower, winter always higher.
We're averaging 60 or 70 new stories/chapters a week going up, still more than any other site. During the peak, we averaged more than 100 new stories a week but SS and FM were not posting at all.
We get one or two new authors a week, too. :)

Daily Averages
Just for refernce:
That's 83% growth over last year.

to do know that its summer and evey one is short on free time these days trying to make ends meet
Here to stay
It was this site that finally inspired me to actually share some of my stuff. I have never posted my fiction elsewhere and the idea of waiting a while for something to be posted sort of drives me nuts (well, I am an impatient sod!). My posting frequency has gone down primarily due to real life, not other sites.

BC rocks
I used to browse fictionmania every day. And every once in a while, I would stumble upon a real gem of a TG story, which I cherished. Then it shut down and suddenly I was without my favorite drug.
I remembered that I once found a story "Show Me The Money" on another site that wasn't Storysite (I didn't like SS for some reason), so I ended up here.
And now I'll never leave.
I discovered that whereas FM is geared towards quantity with a few gems here and there, BC is all about quality, and I even get to connect with the authors. This place is full of warmth and sharing, and we have the protection of Erin and all the other guardian angels working here.
I'll leave when this site dies or when my internet dies (and that point, I'm not too far from death myself!)
Cheers,
