I managed to pack a lot of allusion into this four panel but I'm not sure about a reggae connection. :)

There's one allusion likely no one but me realizes is there. :) In the last panel, the fly is saying "Mayday!" the international distress call based on the French phrase, "M'aidez," meaning "Help me!" which is what the fly with the human head is saying at the end of the classic '50s horror flick The Fly. Oh, man, is that reaching but really, it was in my mind when I wrote it. :)

Flea, Fly, Flo, Flum

What is flum; and exactly what does Englishmen's blood smell like?

Desserts and nonsense.

Presumably flum is a shortened version of "flummery," which has two meanings. Originally an English term referring to a variety of soft pudding desserts, it also became used as a derogatory term for meaningless or deceptive language, or humbug. In the latter sense, it was a favorite epithet of Rex Stout's goumet detective, Nero Wolf.

The bouquet of English blood varies somewhat regionally, but is chiefly distinguished by its dry crispness and consistent undertone of tea.

I had thought

I had thought "flum" was short for "flummox" -- but it's obvious I was confused.

Can blood be used in corsages as well as bouquets? I'm flummoxed completely. Flower is used for bread and blood for sausage.
