The ol' YouTube algorithm offered up a vid during tonight's random sojourns across the Internet which I rather enjoyed, so figured to share so our authors and readers could also partake and either agree or disagree with this guy's assessment of "The Seven Levels of Fantasy":
Hope you also enjoy!! :)

That was interesting!
Strictly speaking, seven levels of quality in fantasy books, rather than seven levels of fantasy itself*, but I found the film most interesting. Seeing AI slop and the work of shysters such as L. Ron Hubbard (named and pictured) on the lowest tier was particularly nice!
* I've thought about this, since, and if I were to categorise fantasies (delusions) into seven levels, I might list them as...

Seven Types
I was thinking more of seven types of fantasy rather than seven levels, so this wasn't what I expected, but at the same time, I mostly agree with what he said. It is about, as bryony described it, seven levels of quality within fantasy writing, which apparently follows along the lines of the other "seven levels" videos that inspired this guy, which I was unaware of until this video pointed them out.
What I was thinking of is more like subgenres within fantasy. If you go to Wikipedia, you'll find a list of more than 30 subgenres described under that heading. And some of them are more finely differentiated than what I was thinking of, or distinguished in different ways from what I was thinking of, so that's not quite it either. Eh, whatever, here are my seven types. There's no particular order to these, so they are not numbered.
