It seems to me, of late we've acquired several new authors. At least there's a number of authors whose names I'm not familiar with posting stories. Some of them are quite prolific. Unfortunately, for me, only one of them consistently posts stories that scratch my itch. :o(
Still it's good to see them posting and I'm sure that the ones I'm not reading have acquired a following. I remember when I discovered BCTS and learned how to post here I was overjoyed that my posts went live the moment I hit the "save" button. All the other sites I've posted at there were delays while some moderator determined if my story fit the guidelines of the site, or perhaps there was something that had to happen so that the formatting worked. But not so here. Live right now. :o)
One thing I've noticed is that a number of these new authors post three or more chapters one right after another. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems to me the customary post schedule was no more than two in a single day. I think that there's no reason that if the author has multiple chapters ready they couldn't be combined in a single post labeled "Chapters 1-4" or whatever.
This would help keep from pushing other authors' work off the front page.
The above is just my opinion and carries no weight. So take it for what it's worth.

Posting multiple chapters
When posting multiple chapters, not only are those authors pushing other authors down (and off) the listing. But only the last posted chapter of the story stays on the list. And therefor it often causes the readers to loose continuity.
Because I have read up to the previously posted chapter 9. The the authors posts chapters 10, 11 and 12. Several hours later, or maybe the next day, I check the front page listing and I see only chapter 12. I start reading that chapter [12] and the story makes no sense because of the break in continuity due to missing chapters 10 and 11. And because the CSS colors for unviewed and viewed links are nearly indistinguishable from one another, it makes it very hard for me to easily identify the issue. So I now often have to resort to turning off the page styles in my browser just to check which chapters I have already read. Plus it logs an additional read for chapter 12 once I read chapter 10 and 11 and then come back to read chapter 12.
Authors may post multiple stories per day, and one chapter from each story stays on the listing. Though there is a courtesy policy of no more than three stories per author per day. I can not confirm how much that is enforced.
For daily chapter postings, I prefer the word count to stay below 1000 to 1200 words. For chapters with 1200 to 4000 word, my preference is to have two to three days between postings. And for chapters with more than 5000 words, I find a weekly posting to work the best.
I Was Guilty
On another site, of posting too many chapters in one go. I didn't know their etiquette, or protocols and I got called out for it. When I knew I toned back my input.
