Yep, after best part of a month of travelling, over indulgence and other weirdness, normality now returns,

Of course the end is actually tomorrow with twelfth night, i'll be putting my few decorations away, returning them to storage for the next 11 months, the world a sadder place as we head into the depths of winter. And depths it is, up in GOC there is a good coating of snow this morning, we even had a bit of a dusting here last night although its returned to cold and damp this morning.

Thursday i ended up taking myself for a walk, it was cold but bright and i ended up picking up a few post Christmas treats - reduced heavily of course. Friday then, in this mixed up week, i joined Aunty Bev for a ride down to Bath where tea and bacon was consumed before returning through the cold. I did an extra little loop to put the distance up to 40km, the total for the week barely reaching 100km.The good news bike wise is that my new tyres have eventually turned up so Tuesday should see a return to longer rides with better reliability, its been a bit frustrating not daring to go too far for fear of deflations.

Yesterday, Saturday, i ended up with a walk to find something for todays main meal, another cool day as we waited for the white stuff to arrive. Today, well once i'm done here i'll get in a short walk before cooking the aforementioned lunch/dinner and maybe even get some writing done. I've already posted the next Gaby chapter, Zip a dee do dah for your delectation & delight, postings will return to their usual once weekly Sunday slot from here onwards.

As for the coming week, i have a busy start. Tomorrow i have some bike stuff to do, changing tyres, repairing tubes, fitting mudguards etc, i also need to visit the nail bar. I've had my talons for three weeks now and whilst the finish is still looking great, growth and practicality mean i need to get them removed. If you've ever had extensions you'll know what i mean, they reach a point where literally simple stuff like typing and gripping small objects is nigh on impossible, so sadly, for now, they will have to go.

So there we go, i'll be back on Wednesday, but for now,
Tschussie,
Madeline Anafrid
