So I planned to put on a dress for Christmas dinner at my brother and sister in laws place, when I got hit with a massive spike in anxiety. This makes twice in a row that I had so much anxiety about dressing up that I ended up giving up on it.
I have no idea where this anxiety is coming from, but for now at least, dresses and skirts are going to the back of my closet.
Ah, well. Merry Christmas everybody.

You are you, Dot.
And you are wonderful, however you may dress. When it feels right and fun, dress. When it’s just stress-inducing . . . ? Seriously, woman! You have enough stress in your life!
Merry Christmas, and have a huggle. I had a nice morning so I have some to spare. :)

Vitamins Missing
Dorthy I strongly suspect you are missing your vitamins which sedate or regulate your emotions. As we get older our bodies no longer have these in storage to draw from if we aren't eating right. Hang in there girl and get ready for the long haul to get your mind and your body functioning again the way it should.

From the East ...
it might be called a "multiple hindrance attack". Pulling back from 'the horizon of my ignorance", it's when many things gang up and beat on you ...
From the West ... sounds like an Eeyore attack ...
I can just about hear Eeyore's mournful braying voice in your head:
"Woe is me. I chickened out at Thanks-Living ..."
"And I chickened out at Christmas ... "
"I'm always going to chicken out ..."
"It's easier if I just =always= chicken out. At least that spares me the anxiety attacks."

My gang calls that November bash thingy "Thanks =Living=".
That's what it's for - a celebration of =Living=.
We have four celebrations banging together within about a two week window.
= There's December Solstice, which is New Years in the Old, Old calendar.
So it's a time for renewal, for new beginnings.
= Hanukah, which I understand poorly.
So it's a time for renewal, for new beginnings.
= The birthday of Jesus. What is more hopeful than a baby?
So it's a time for renewal, for new beginnings.
= And Common-Era New Year. Most hope for a better year; many resolve to make it a better year.
So it's a time for renewal, for new beginnings.
You, me, all of us can work to make the coming year even better.
Starting now. "Now" is the only moment when we do things.

Tell ya what. Go to your closet, open it up, and say "Wow! Dorothy left a dress for me. It's gonna look great on me at my Christmas evening just-for-me party at my place.
Dress up well. After all, you are going on a date with that most special person in your life - =You=.
-
And kick out Eeyore - his work at your place is overdone.

Dang near forgot - a great pile of Huggles coming your way on the Æther.
Live as you wish...
Dorothy, if I remember correctly you are of a faith. This is a special day for you.
Do not let anyone dictate how you should live. Everyone else can bugger off...
