I started reading "Your Wings Are Beautiful" by Kalista and found it went 4 chapters and no more. :( The protagonist did not get wings, and did not get out of the Castle. Not sure if this was a gender change story.
In my subsequent research, the author revealed that by day, they were a bike delivery person by day, and an aspiring actor at night.
I do hope that there was no accident on the bicycle. I think the author lived in New York city, or LA. Both are very dangerous places to ride. As a matter of fact bike riding in general can be dangerous. It's been a year since my own bike fall and I have not recovered and not been on it since.

The author just seemed to drop out of sight. So many stories are hard to read because of awkward sentence structure, or bad plot or ???. Kalista's story was a rare treat.
