Kindle is a digital book publishing platform owned by Amazon.
DopplerPress is a book publisher owned by Janglewood, which also owns BigCloset.

It's the difference between the store and the product maker
Amazon is like Walmart or K-mart or Target -- they carry our products in their store.
Whereas Doppler is like the Coca Cola company, or Ore Ida, or Sony -- we make a product, and need a way to distribute it.
We hope to expand Doppler away from Kindle exclusivity eventually, but the simple fact is that the more platforms we release on the more effort it takes to manage the releases and the income from them, and right now that would all fall on Ms. Joyce, who's wearing enough other hats it's hard for her to fit through most doorways.

I'm holding my Kindle in my hand right know.
I'm giving Doppler Press a "hand" for the great job they've done publishing over twenty books for me.
I do not take any payment for those books. When you buy an Angela Reach book your helping support Big Closet. Other authors have the same arrangement with Doppler.
Money is a weird thing. A large part of my life found me without a dime in my pocket. There's very little difference between Jill with money and Jill without money. You should never allow people to make you feel bad because you aren't rich.
