I watched the latest Dr. Who. Donna Noble's daughter was called a boy's name by a group of boys on bikes as they rode by. I thought WHAT?
It is cleared up later as you realise she is trans. I watched a program later where Yasmin Finney said it brought back bad memories about being "dead named".
It was a fun episode. Much better than those crap, poorly written ones Jodie Whittaker was forced to do. Mind you, David Tennant is my favorite Dr. Who, with Tom Baker in close second.

Wonderful
The more transgender actor/actresses that are given roles, the better for all of us.
It's too bad we can't view these outside of the UK, but cheers nonetheless. :DD

The new episodes (starting with Saturday's 'The Star Beast') should be available internationally on Disney+.

I'm so happy that my favorite star of Dr. Who is back!
Show runner Russel t. Davies!! He had such a light touch with "controversial" subject matter, never talking down to the show's audience but just having the Doctor put a bigot in their place with just a smirk and a hilarious cryptic comment (especially lovely #10, who's reappearance on the show I missed entirely, along with the hilarious Donna Noble's return- I got some catching up to do). If Davies thinks having a trans character is important it's probably because of recent developments in the UK with all this anti-trans "gender critical" bullshit and he and his writers will handle it organically + seamlessly, with wit and brilliance. Cris Chibnall's heart was in the right place (he wrote some great WHO & TORCHWOOD episodes) but as show runner he had poor Jodi Whittaker up on a soapbox every week heavyhandedly EXPLAINING why racism, sexism etc are bad in a way that just didn't feel like the Doctor. Like so many of society's recent woes I blame a certain former world leader for making TV writers grow a bit too strident in refuting the evil mindsets he gave his presidential blessing to. Looking forward to meeting the next Doctor too...

Even now?
I still wanna be Sara Jane Smith when I grow up! And have a K9; especially since I crave 'affirmative' messages, yes?

I Just Watched It!
Dr. Who: The Star Beast. It's on Disney so should be available world-wide.
I don't want to spoil it so I will only say I thought it was great! David Tennant back in fine form and Yasmin Finney had a very substantial part, with only a nod to her transgenderism.
Enjoy!
I Just Watched The Third Dr. Who Special
No spoilers, but if you're a fan you MUST watch. Yasmin was back (briefly) in this one.

David Tennant Gushes Over 'Doctor Who’s' Trans-Inclusive Storyline
“It’s just something that I think is rather lovely and important,” said Tennant. “It suits what Doctor Who is all about, so […] the fact that relevant charities are benefiting from it is something that I’m hugely pleased about.”
He went on to talk about how the spirit of Doctor Who is in alignment with the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. “The Doctor has always supported the other, the unusual, the disenfranchised,” he said. “That’s what that show’s about”
And he offered a hopeful message: “Most people are decent, honest, understanding people who just want to live together harmoniously. We just need to banish the noise and banish the hate.”
