I'd read "Battle For Earth" before but I don't remember how far back. It is engrossing, interesting and involved. Did I mention that it is quite long? I think there is a surprise ending, but I am not there yet.
I encourage you to read it.

Well,
Some details would be nice. I can recall several stories with that name, it's not an uncommon one.

Okay, I had to
Look it up. The book I was thinking about was Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard, close, you have to admit. Hubbard was a hack SF author that founded Scientology, based on another book of his, Dianetics. I won't say anything else about him, as my information is secondhand from another well-respected SF author. Not withstanding at least one review I read online, Hubbard was considered a hack writer and (possibly) a conman for Dianetics, according to one contemporary.

Finished Re-reading
It was 11-4-2023 at 1:30 am when I finished it. Aside from lots of distracting editing errors, it was still an engaging, plausible feeling story. I thank the Author.
