Lately, I've stumbled upon a collection of masterpieces beginning with "The General's Daughter". The story kept me guessing every step of the way until the disappointing end. Wakening, sleepless in the middle of the night, I searched for and found more of the Author's stash; enough to keep me busy for a few days.
I needed the distraction having learned of a narrowing of an Artery in my brain that promises a stroke, terminal, I hope. The things they offer to do to forestall the event seem distasteful to me and I am not sure that I will comply. The Docs are of the opinion that the issue is congenital and not brought to me by lifestyle. I just got the $1700 bill for the ambulance, (Not Justified according to the ED). Perhaps my Doctor will have some effect on their opinion.
Never drank, smoked, or did drugs. Missed a lot of fun I suppose. I was suicidal just lots in my life but finally got the plonkers that caused the pain out of my life. The last few years after Covid have been better. Maybe I'll get the chance to read the rest of The Last Cowboy's tales?
