So I had a mixed day yesterday.
I got some good news from my endo doc, as I'm losing weight, and my blood pressure is really good.
Sadly I am still struggling with my blood sugar so he's going to tweak my meds to see if we can make some progress there.
Then we took Sharon and Sam out for a bit, and its still a joy to see Sam talking and laughing again.
But then my knee tweaked, and I was in serious pain with only a Tylenol to try and dull it.
Finally we came home, I had a piece of my Kraft pizza, (which in my humble opinion is better than any frozen pizza and up there with the best from a pizza place ) and we watched the Oilers lose in a shootout.
So as you can see, a mixed day.

your problem with the blood sugar - eating crap from Kraft! There will be more sugar in that 'pizza' than i have in my tea and the same goes for pretty much all the 'convenience' food 'mericans consume.
Knees can be painful, i've had more than my share of knee issues over the years but keeping them working is key to maintaining our ability to get about. Knees don't enjoy carrying a lot of body mass, making sudden moves or any kind of twisting action, a knee brace can help cope with things but its not a long term answer for most issues.
Be good to your bpdy and it'll be good to you.

Knees... Yeah. Perhaps not one of nature's better pieces of engineering. Just because our knees can give other people great golf and spotty-ball soccer ... Some of the rest of us get what seem to be 'factory rejects'.

Oh, and carry $20 - enough to get 'you and yours' home if you can't drive, or to Emergency Services - cheaper than an ambulance. One time I had use a cab to get home - knee was trashed so bad that the cabby watched me go up my 4 front porch steps on my butt. And he handled the crutches for me!
I've had a cane in the back of my car for ... decades? And someday my crutches will join them. {sad face here} And I carry a coupla OTC pain tablets. (I'm using a short, small Rx pill bottle.)
My rules of thumb on knees & similar are
a) do what the doc/therapists tells you to, and
b) no matter how well they >seem< to be recovered - 'baby' them for another 2 weeks.

folds up so I can have it beside me in the car. Sadly the cartilage in my knees (and hip) have been slowly melting since I was in my teens, not much I can do but keep doing what I can to lose weight.

I have Type 2 Diabetes. I take a lot of medication and have had high readings for years. it is affecting my eyes now. I decided to stop taking the doctors dietary advice.
Most of the diets they offered had rice and other high carb items. Carbs turn to sugar when you digest them. Just stick to high protein foods like meat
eggs,etc. Look at what vegetables contain carbs, like carrots and potatoes, avoid those. Also most fruit is high in natural sugar.
I did this and still eat plain low fat yogurt which I flavor with coffee( Try it, it tastes great) and cheese. On this diet with my meds my sugar is the same as a non-diabetic and I have lost weight.
Don't think of it as a diet, you won't stick to it. Just make a list of low carb foods you like and eat those. You can have the occasional treat. I do on Saturdays. 6 good days and 1 bad is better than 7 bad days.
Good luck, It is a lot easier to see which foods affect you if you have a blood glucose meter. Also drink plenty of water. That helps you get rid of excess sugar.
