So I had a very painful day doing the taxi thing yesterday,
I actually had to call things short, as my knees and my hip were hurting so bad even painkiller couldn't touch it.
Not only that, because we spent about six hours without being able to stop for food, my sugar levels were screaming at me,
Sharon and Sam understood, but I still feel bad for letting them down.

Sugar levels are a real pain!
That's a real nasty thing. I hate it when my sugar levels are getting low, although eating keto most of the time really helps.
Praying for you, and sending lots of huggles!

At the very least, watch here from Dr Michael Greger: https://nutritionfacts.org/video/are-keto-diets-safe/
And here: https://nutritionfacts.org/video/flashback-friday-what-cause.... Kill to many pancreas beta cells, and you will be an insulin-forever Type-I diabetic.

Thank you.
Thanks.
I appreciate your concern. I'm following a ketogenic diet under the eye of my endocrinologist, and have been on the diet for the most part for about 8 years. I will admit that when I started having memory problems, and found out I had a tumor (benign thank God) There were a lot of comfort foods, and I got off the diet.
Now, however, I'm back on it and losing weight again.
I know there are a lot of doctors that disagree with Keto, but there are also a lot that agree with it. I've read many things on both sides of the argument, and I really have to take the side that it works. Especially after six years of not having to take insulin when I was on it faithfully.
I'm a type 2 diabetic, so my main focus is to minimize the amount of insulin my body needs. I simply can't use the insulin my body creates very effectively. Insulin and diabetes is a vicious cycle, I agree. Insulin stores the excess sugar you take in as fat, and excess weight can cause more inefficiency in using insulin.
Since I've been back on the diet, my memory is getting better, and my creativity is coming back. I am able to write better now, and I'm not having to sleep half the day away. I monitor my blood sugar like a hawk, and make sure it doesn't fall too low, or go too high. If it's too low, I don't take insulin, but it's rarely too low right now. Usually, it's at the top end of what's acceptable, but it is coming down.
Again, thanks for your concern. I appreciate it very much. Rest assured that I am being very careful
Hugs!

Happy it's working for you; very happy it's supervised.
There is also plants-only keto, which I did not mention, as there is rather less data.
Animal foods simply tear us up, doing so much damage that they kill us something like seven years early.
Please have a chat with your doc. I bet you will get the same or better benefits on plants-only.
Good luck!
