I am not really sure how Patreon works.
I have had a Patreon site for almost two years and I post all of my new material on it every week, sometimes in a raw state, before it goes anywhere else. I thought that is was all about sharing my art and my creative process, but I am just not getting any engagement. I get some likes but very few usable comments and no real interaction.
I think that Erin is suggesting that it is because I am not known but I really have no idea how to promote it.
I would be interested in hearing from others who have a patreon platform.
I am sure that I am not using it right.

you have a Patreon. I just signed up and looking forward to reading what looks like a veritable treasury of stories. Unlike you and the other talented writers on this site, I’m not that good at expressing myself so I may not comment as much as you might want...but I will certainly try to contribute reactions when I’m moved to. I think when you complete the book that Erin has you working on, your Patreon membership will grow exponentially. Hugs!

I think the big problem is advertising........

I support several authors on Patreon, but it is difficult to find out who is on the platform.

Perhaps a list should be published. Then everyone would know who they could support.

Not a great reader site

I would be a likely reader on Patron, but for that purpose I find it totally confusing and completely useless. As a product development and promotion site it worked well, and I even made minor contributions. But trying to track and read authors there has just proven impossible. I had a non-BC writer friend (anime) in Canada who moved to Patron, for much the same reason as many here. As an old friend and long-time supporter she gave me free access. But it seemed everytime I tried to visit it took forever to get to her page and then to her latest post. I ultimately lost contact with her.

Then people here started setting up patron sites. Once again I made a stab at Patron, and once again I failed. Nowadays, I don't have the money anyway, so it doesn't matter.

So anyway, your lack of followers just might be the site itself. Something to consider.
