So last I had posted was before Dad came home for Hospice. Well, he passed away on January the 5th. Since then I have been dealing with the vultures in the family. I got my brother and his younger son both wanting to move in, but I can't afford to live here myself. I really can't afford to have them move in and not pay anything. My brother keeps insisting everything should be his, but dad did a living trust and gave me almost everything except his van, all because my brother only visited him once in the past 15 months. And before you say Covid, he only called twice and never called dad, only me.
So I may be giving up the family home. But I still got other bills that Dad left with me on the loan. I'm actually thinking of a go fund me to help out. I will try to get some writing done, but life is way to crazyright now

Get some legal guidance
Get some local legal guidance. Where I am familiar with the laws, his estate and the trust owes the creditors, not you, unless you cosigned for him. The trust should not allow him to shrug off his just debts. It may mean that there is little left in the trust for you when the creditors have received their due, and that would be too bad. But it is way better than you saddled with his debts.
Been around the bush a few too many times. :(

Between the wrinkles, the orthopedic shoes, and nine decades of gravity, it is really hard to be alluring. My icon, you ask? It is the last picture I allowed to escape the camera ... back before most BC authors were born.
cosigned
Yeah the bills in question are cosigned. With his retirement from the state and the army, we had it made. I tried to talk him out of all the purchases, but he kept trying to get things, that we used in the mountains. We put me on it to save fighting the banks and other family for it
