To every one of you who have questioned yourselves, who haven't been able to make that big step...I know where you are...I've been there and I KNOW how difficult it is!
These words, from a TV show of all things, helped me...encouraged me...spoke to my struggle and the courage they spoke about. It became my private, personal theme.

Each must find the path for them
Cathy, we try and share our life experiences with others, old and new who are either thinking or already on the journey. Some will look and never take that step, other will go part of the way into trans, and some will make the trip. There are so many factors involved, support, money, drive among hundreds of other things. Even after they reached their goal they still aren't safe. Jahna Erica Steele was named Miss Las Vegas until they learned she was transsexual. I've read too many stories girls being used and abused even by those who are supposed to be supporting them. Doctors, academics, used them for research, outing them, and basically calling them them dregs of society.
Those who successfully make the transition and a life are the ones who make my own heart soar with pride and hope, maybe, just mabye, all those caught up in the gender-blender will find their own life and happiness.
