I'm writing a rather lengthy story (working on it interspersed with Whateley) and I have some questions relating to facial feminization surgery. I've looked up what I can on-line, but I'd like to gather more data.

I've identified the following procedures:
brow reduction, eyebrow lift, hairline alteration, rhinoplasty, cheek implants, lip lift, lip injections/implants (minor amount), chin reshaping, jawline reshaping, tracheal shave. others?

What are considered the most important of these surgeries to have? What would be a typical cost? What's the typical recovery time? Which has the longest recovery time?

You can answer here, or message, or (preferably) e-mail: [email protected]

Genetics matter

Some of us look like a buffalo and others not. I had no Adams Apple, a pointed chin, and a small nose. I had about a half an inch of my upper lip removed to expose my top teeth. The bony ridge behind my brows was minimal.

I'm presuming an average

I'm presuming an average-looking mid-twenties male on the smaller side. No neanderthal brow ridge, no unibrow, no lantern jaw. If you take the face of the average Caucasian American male, that's him. Modest brow ridge, no early male-pattern baldness. So that's the starting point. (In the story, he's about 5'6" or 5'7", runner build.)

more stuff... maybe

You haven't mentioned hair removal/electrolysis, permanent makeup, eyebrow micro-blading, subcutaneous hormone release products, etc. I'm not sure if you want to include cosmetic procedures in addition to surgical. Is all this voluntary? "forced"? punishment? a disguise?

Depending on your muse you could probably delve into mind/psychological subconscious/subliminal messaging... implants. Good luck & have fun with it.

Treading the bounds of sanity.

I know that Castration is not facial, although some seem to talk and think with their Dick. I had mine done outside the system, cheap.

I had whole body Laser Hair Removal in 2005. It worked great except for on my face because that had started greying. :(

Research becomes useless in a matter of years

Let me put a time frame on what I found sixteen years ago. The SRS if it was normal standard procedure was forty to sixty thousand U.S. The rhinoplasty, brow shaving, etc. depending on how much was done would add another fifty thousand more or less.
This was all generic answers from the doctor's clinics I contacted as I wasn't presenting myself nor any pictures. This was from U.S. and Canadian doctors.
I also inquired the same from clinics in Thailand and from the girls I knew who had been there. The spread of cost was wide in Thailand. The stories ranged from very pleased to horror stories. The low numbers were around six thousand for the bottom end surgery. The high end was around eighteen thousand. Surgery was performed in little more than a doctor's office to good care in a clinic or hospital. Surgery was done by the doctor or an assistant. Even well named surgeons were guilty of farming out the surgery at times.
It seemed one might receive excellent results in the low end doctor's office or a butcher job the same as in some clinics.
I made an effort to contact clinics in India and Japan. Both wanted more information from me before they shared their data on trans surgery. The clinics I knew of in the Scandinavian countries had gone dark for some reason. Politics?
Let's be up front about what to expect when one goes overseas. There is no recourse for a bad operation or bad surgeons. They are inexpensive for a reason. One should do diligent research and get in touch with girls who have gone before. Don't take the brochure as the gospel because it's just that, an advertisement to get patients.
My info is so outdated it's pathetic and in a real life test, useless. How bad is it? When I was okayed for SRS the cost was fifty seven hundred dollars total. Thus I've been tracking a fluid market for too long and numbers mean nothing if they aren't fresh this month, or better this week.

Sounds about right

I last attended Southern Comfort un the US around that time just to meet Calpernia Addams. For the ‘Boutique’ well known doctors like Dr Zukowski out in Chicago or Dr Sherman Leis out in Pennsylvania the cost Barbie quoted for 2004 sounds right.

Here is a link to Dr Zukowski (or Dr ‘Z’ apparently as the girls shilling for him at his presentation at Southrrn Comfort) called him) that shows a rough change you are looking for: https://www.mlzukowskiffs.com/portfolio/ffs-introduction/

I would take the palate of changes suggested and ask for cost from reputable and not reputable surgeons to see the range you get today. Still, I would suggest 50K is for bare minimum.

FWIW, I requested a consultation at his presentation and the only thing he could suggest for me was a slight jaw contouring that a lot of Asian (non-trans) women get also so that was like 15K USD back in around 2004.

Last time I attended a local TS support meeting was about 10 years ago and yes people were emptying out 401Ks to get FFS.

The SRS cost sounds a bit high though as Dr Schrang around that time cost me 21K including anesthesia.

Perhaps a little more context

The man is forced to live fulle-time en-femme (blackmail, etc), and has strong incentive to be able to pass without surgery, but close inspection would show some non-feminine facial characteristics. He's gotten pretty good with his makeup. It is entirely by trickery that he gets his surgery. It has to be in the US (for reasons). He's not paying, so the cost to him isn't important, but the cost to 'pay back' the surgery plus the cost of undoing things is a factor in the story. His "loving wife" is also being played by the villain - she thinks he's guilty and is angry and is part of his 'punishment'. She's also swamped with work that he used to do plus her own former job, so she's harried, stressed, and not very attentive. It's complicated. Due to her believing the reason for the blackmail, she's treating her husband as little more than the lowest admin aide at work and a domestic servant at home - again, she's being strongly influenced.

While en-femme , he's brutally mugged and has some facial damage (including a broken nose), so under the guise of repairing the facial injuries and reconstructing his nose, the villain tricks him and his wife into putting him through more thorough FFS. The goal is that the surgery is a step to make it more difficult for him to regain his pre-blackmail life. So I want the changes to be definitely feminizing, i.e, tracheal shave, brow ridge sculpting, etc.

Wife is out of town on a crucial extended business trip during recovery, so I can get by with up to 2 - 3 weeks of recovery time, possibly in hospital and mostly sedated so when he wakes, it's a 'what did you do to me?' moment, and the villain reminds him why he has to keep his mouth shut, so when his wife doesn't really notice, he can't say without risking serious consequences.

A cost estimate of 50K is probably reasonable. The question now is how far can the villain go with the procedures without the wife realizing "holy crap, this was NOT what was supposed to happen!" In the plot, she's so distracted and angry and inattentive that she thinks he's just improved his makeup skills. A couple of new 'friends' will notice, but again, he can't say anything. I'm tempted to also do a vocal chord procedure while he's under.

Does that give a little more context as to what I'm looking for and how it fits in the plot?

Possible answer

Reveal a *supposed* cost with the claim that because of underlying circumstances such as broken jaw, fractured cheek and such that more reconstructive surgery was required which resulted in shaving off more than was really necessary while highlighting other features; ears tapered, round to oval chin and such, loosening of vocal cords, (or damaged). Once something like these are altered the chances of returning to the once older self is much harder. Cost? Say around 60,000 to 75,000 which could or could not be true as bills are hyped up.

Other things to consider but don't know if the first is possible: slimming/reduction of shoulders, Cinderella feet, and butt/hip enhancements.

Don"t Forget

Removing the lower ribs for a dramatic waist. If it wasn't mentioned then work on the hands same as the feet. Narrowing the fingers and modifying the finger and palm prints.

You could shorten the intestines and perform a partial stomach bypass to lessen the nutritional value absorbed so to keep the weight down.
