Well, Lucked out again! Tuesday night I totaled my car, and almost me. On a 5 lane city street and US highway I decided to stop in at the ice cream store and get a dish to take home. This required a left turn. Somehow I missed seeing an oncoming PU truck and the end result wasn't pretty! I thought I'd survived unscathed but then I started feeling funny and, as the cliché goes, every went black. I came to as I was being taken into the ER.
Found out later the blow to my chest from the airbag caused a heart arrhythmia, (heart firing at random, out of sync.) A zap with a defibrillator got everything back in sync. However, they kept me for a couple of days to monitor my heart, "just in case".
Fortunately I had my tablet in my bag/purse, so I wasn't completely bored. And one of the nurses loaned me her charger, so I could recharge it and my phone. Terribly weak the first day so not much in the way of comments or kudos. Sorry, people. Today is actually the first I've really felt good. But my chest still really hurts*, as does my nose. And somehow I managed to sprain my ankle. It's not very bad, though.
So, airbags. Can't live with them, can't live without them.
* Bras don't help!
Comments
So just to be clear
Are we talking about the airbags in cars or in bras?

So sorry
Oh wow, so sorry to hear of your incident. Wishing you the best, I hope there are no long term after effects. A little over two years ago I was in an incident that total my vehicle. I came through it OK but my passenger has had long term after effects from bruised lungs.
Such a horrific experience...
I am so sorry you went through that and I'm very glad you're doing better.
Love, Andrea Lena
