Why do I love Big closet? Because it's a friendly place. Not everywhere is. For example, here is a review of "coven encounter" on fictionmania: "you have finally managed to produce some thing more than a drabble." nice, huh?

It has been fifteen years since I quit posting on FM. Some things are at their most beautiful in a rear-view mirror.

One Bad Apple
As of a few minutes ago there have been seven other comments on this story at Fictionmania. (Well let's not count the one some obviously very silly person left about tribbles, which as far as I can tell has nothing to do with your story.)
So let's say six other comments, all of which said they liked Coven Encounter and were friendly enough in tone. Nobody likes a snide comment, especially when she could have said the same thing non-confrontationally, something like "You have good ideas but your stories are so short, I wish they were fleshed out more..."
I absolutely agree that Big Closet is a wonderful supportive environment for writing, reading, blogging + just making friends; But considering that some of my stories get ZERO responses at FM (making me wonder if anyone even read them); I'd call six nice comments to one grumpy one a pretty good response on average. It looks like you have your fans there too, and though it's really none of my business I'd say keep posting over there for the folk that do like your stuff, even if it's only six people...
