In about a month, BC will hit 10,000 posts. That's not stories, stories+chapters will be a little over half of that because posts includes blogs, forums, title pages, announcements, links and images. But posts is the easy number to count. :) There are about 1500 stand-alone stories and 350 serials with close to 4000 chapters on BC. Exact numbers aren't really possible because of sloppy coding. :)
That's a lot of activity for one little niche storysite. What should we do to celebrate? It's going to happen really near Halloween, BTW.

I'd suggest a contest or writer's challenge but I'm several behind as it is.
Maybe something simple like a *complete the story contest*. You or I or possibly some sane person here starts a story, just a few pages and everyone interested posts there way to finish it. A bit like your BOT:C add on story concept of a few years back but limited to completing the one story.
A TG and Halloween/Samhain themed story of course.
I'm good at starting stories or throwning monkey wrenches, complete with the monkeys, in the works, finishing stories ... ahhhhh.
If anyone is interested I could come up with a story and a mini story to illustrate the options. It could be your generic haunted house story, our hero, lured into the haunted place gets transformed by fantastical means into a damsel in distress and ...
Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader fight for her honor
The monster from Aliens captures her and, yuck!
She finds the object that changed her and takes control of it and wreaks a most terrible revenge. Bru-ha-ha-ha
She runs away, kisses a frog which turns into a lovely fairy princess and the two women live happily ever after and have a child using a turkey baster.
She gets rescued by this man in a blue Police box then these Cybermen and Daleks ... sort of did that one for BOT:C, oops!

Not exactly a contest
This is the time of year when tradition has it the the distance between worlds is smallest. How about taking your favorite characters from the stories on this site and writing a scene "mash up" with them.
Imagine John's Joanie, Bob's Jen Stevens, Susan Brown's Toni and Randalynn's Stark having coffee at Bigbucks discussing the merits and problems of being Blonde.
Or Angharad's Cathy and Nick B's Darryl discussing rock climbing in installments.
Perhaps Alys' famous 4 inch door could examine the protection it provides versus the anonymity provided by the internet.
Any such scene would, of course, need the approval of the originators of the characters. What do you think? Too complicated?

Actually I think she is trying to
but she won't post it until it is finished.
So many comments about her multiple incomplete story lines upset her.
As for me, I'm pretty thick skinned. Yeah, I'd love to see Queen of the Harvest Moon finished too.

Angel is one of my best friends
I am just playing with her, and I don't know if she'll even read this anyways...I think it actually is done or very nearly last time we talked about it...don't have a clue when she'll release it though.

Her last short story posted here is about me [Stan The Man] and I consider it an honor that she took the time to write it. Her last {COMPLETED} story is Why Me?
The reason that she has stopped posting is on her blogs. I miss seeing her here and hope that she will one day start posting again.
