I am currently writing: a tribute fan fic of Sherlock Holmes, a story about being kidnapped by aliens who are doing tag and release, a story about a race around the solar system, a story about a young girl with healing powers, a story about a school for mermaids, unicorns, witches, and vampires, and a story about finding a bracelet that summons a portal to alternate realities. Not to mention another Jaci/Dottie story.

Who else has too many ideas at once?

I have a solution

Just use 7% of your ideas. :-D

I'd say that idea is...

I have somewhere between a hundred and fifty and two hundred stories at various stages of completion, in my writing directories. I really want any story I post here, on Fictionmania, on ASS*, or elsewhere to be a surprise. I have a few SRU stories, a few BB stories, a few sequels and followups to various stories, a couple time-travel stories, numerous stories about scrambled relations in families, a few hypnotism stories, a few stories about mages, and others hard to catagorize -- at least without spoiling them.

Too many irons in the fire

I have nine partial documents in the stories folder on my computer, and another thirty-four story ideas that I haven't written anything for in my list of ideas document. I'm supposed to be working on Episode 25 of Stephanie's Deal, but a new story idea that's popped into my head recently wants to cut to the front of the line, and so far I'm resisting the temptation.

My Case

In my case, I would have to at least write the idea down, or there's a good chance I'd forget about it permanently. I know I forget things, but I don't know what I've forgotten.

Tell me about it...

Tell me about it...

I've lost so many ideas that seemed like good ones because of delays in doing that.

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime

The same.

I have about two hundred and fifty written down ideas at the moment.
And that is after I did some spring cleaning recently.
About three dozen of them are in writers limbo. The place between began but not finished.

Do what Paul McCartney did on "Abbey Road"

The last 2/3 of the B side of that album is lyrics and tunes not yet grown into full songs; the Beatles were getting close to breaking up, and Paul spliced together those disparate melodies into one sprawling monster of a tune. And by some miracle it worked.

So, Aliens are tag/releasing unicorns; the mermaids hire Holmes to figure it out; once he discovers the culprit, witches and vamps attack the aliens who escape via the alternate reality bracelet; the W's and V's pursue them in a chase around the solar system; meanwhile a healer named Jaci heals the unicorn's tag holes. All of this is faithfully documented by Dottie. Done! Yer welcome! ;) - Hugz! - **Sigh**

The way my mind jumps from thought to thought, you have motivated another entry in my 25th idea file. (Ten minutes after time is destroyed, a motley crew heads back twenty minutes in time, to prevent this Universe-shattering event.)
