There are a handful of authors here whose stories are sweet and romantic, sometimes with violence and war, and to them, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have blessed my life and brought healing into it. I'll turn Seventy Two tomorrow, and hopefully ,"It is all over but the shouting". As some of you well know, life can be painful and taxing. I hope that we help each other to get through yet another day.

In one story I learned about Frybread, and stopped feeling so guilty that I am alive. The story triggered my doing extensive research; something that is the center of my life, and I learned things that I might have gone my entire life without knowing.

For some of you, violence and war seem to be your trade ... I imagine that you use it to work out your hurt and anger. I understand. I've seen and experienced so much of it personally that my tolerance for it is limited.

May each of you go your way in peace. May the Sun rise tomorrow to a day filled with blessings and love.

Akimel Oʼotham indian's POV

AuPreviner's picture

Years ago, I studied in school the Pima indians, as they were called in my school days, of the southwest who live in southern Arizona. They call themselves today, reverting back to their true name, the Akimel Oʼotham tribe, or the 'river people.' Interesting since the rivers they call home flow more with sand than with water.

What struck me about them is if they went to war, and I presume won, they would have a special dance afterwards to throw off the insanity of war, the desire for revenge, and the need to carry that angry with them that brought them into conflict with another tribe. It was a cleansing dance. A renewing of the mind, if you will.

So, no matter how taxing this life is or perplexing sometimes, may you have the chance in the morning to throw off the past and enter into your 72nd year feeling like a new born filled with all the possibilities of the future before you and no limitations to enjoying the best that life has to offer in love and peace.

So, feel free to start each new day with a crazy dance. Happy Birthday!

Blessings and Peace and feel a big hug filled with Joy and Love,

AuP
