I have read too many nasty things about him during his heyday in the early 60s to see him as someone who deserves high praise for what he did as it almost always came at the expense of everyone else not named Stan Lee. He was an entertaining man who became the face of the comic book world, but he wasn't what people thought he was and others were just as much if not more involved in the creation of many of his characters...It's sad that he passed on especially as he had a lot of issues over the past several year with people using and abusing him and he was getting a nasty reputation as being a dirty old man but he has passed and he should be remembered for his writing ability even if he needed the work of others to "inspire" his creativity.

He's smoking stogies with Jack Kirby and arguing with Steve Ditko with both watching as their biggest creations come together in Avengers 5 or 6. RIP Stan.
