Ho hum,

let me start by telling you the news that will probably make some of you giggle but I would ask you to try not to!

As you may be aware, I have been in my 'new' house in the UK for nearly three weeks of this month. The intention was to do very little but get Julina through the rains.

Best laid plans etc etc etc

One of the fences to this new property is collapsing under the weight of climbing ivy and aggressively rerooting thorn bushes. So I spent a full 3 days in the garden ripping out half of the said thorn bushes, receiving many scratches and punctures from the thorns as I did so - some of the thorns themselves even have thorns! Bastards!

I took a break from ripping out thorns one day to pop inside for some natural relief. The loo seat upon which I was sitting for this was a cheap replacement since I had complained about the seat left behind by the previous tenants being cracked.

This one cracked as I was sitting on it. My weight caused the crack to widen sufficiently so that when I stood, it gripped my left buttock in a painful 'bite'.

I have now had the three stitches I required removed and the scar is itching wickedly. I have also learnt what products you have to use to remove bloodstains from the leather of car seats, for I had to drive myself to the hospital with a chunk of flesh missing.

All those adventures are now behind me (*groan groan groan at the poor pun*)

And so back to the stories with which I am involved.

I have first to apologise to Bron for being MIA when it comes to proofing the Harriet stuff. Bron - I'm back on duty now!

And now I have to apologise for not being as swift as I wanted to be regarding Julina.

This point in the Julina tale is a major nexus.

I have to co-ordinate for this passage many threads from the Julina tales, from the Milsy tales and from SEE itself.
As a result of which, I have had to read and re-read over twenty of the published chapters of those three tales, with some side delvings into 'Armsman of Joth' as well.

I think I research about one hour for every minute I spend typing. (And no - I refuse to use 'voice to text' having seen the dreadful results this nearly always produces)

The next episode in Julina's hectic life is just about finished. Before I do the final polish, though, I shall need to send it to Penny for her to check over, to make sure I have not taken too many liberties with her characters and her scenarios.

The bones of the next two or three chapters are also laid down, so there SHOULD be far less time required for continuations.

Enjoy your day, and your weekend,

Joolz

pun

I enjoyed your pun but not your pain. I like puns and tell others I like to pun-ish them with puns. lol

Phew! I'm so relieved

I was getting very worried about your 'disappearance' and hoped it didn't bode bad news. Thank goodness it was just the 'horrors' of moving after all and the way you describe it, it hasn't been a fun time. No hurries about the proofing for me - I've been doing my best but I'm sure I've missed the odd one or two but they can wait. Can't think why I didn't think to check here first.
Best wishes and hugs, Bron

Ouch!

Moving houses is bad enough, moving countries must be even worse.

Then, of course, you have a neglected garden to tame, right at the time that it is growing furiously - and you're still settling in. Been there, still doing that!

Then, on top of that, to get bitten by your throne - well, it must make you wonder if you sacrificed the wrong chicken.

We understand these things. Take the time to make yourself comfortable and then the words will flow again.

Penny

Whew

At least now you’ve hit bottom in loo *erm* lieu of making any progress, there is no place to go .... but up!

Thank you for the cracking good tale!

At times, real life can be such a

Pain in the Ass, can't it.

I'll think of you as I head through Kent and down to Dover tomorrow and the Ferry to Calais. Corsica and Sardinia here I come.
