I'm SO frustrated that I haven't brought this story (or any of the open ended stories) home yet. I want to say "SHELVE IT'... if you've invested in these characters even a fraction as much as I have.....
I am determined to bring them all to satisfactory conclusions (that let the reader take them where they will) but the finish line is proving far more elusive (muse-less) than I'd ever imagined.
So,I'm imploring you to hold off... wait until my stupid muse sees fit to bring these stories home.... to re-invest in the characters I hold so dear and owe a satisfactory end (jumping off for the reader) point - before wading back in.
I'm posting what I'm posting simply to put things 'on the record'... to toss my hat over the wall.... leaving me no choice but to go after it.....
So... yeah... don't read & get invested (cursed muse!) .... but maybe bookmark.... because... if I finish (with or without the muse) - these characters will, hopefully, have a satisfying journey to the end I envisioned at the beginning of this tale. (NO pressure!)

A muse has her own mind.
So you really can't do anything but bide your time for her to return. I am enthralled by your stories and the characters who reside there, so I'm happy to wait for your muse to return.
If you try to find your muse, I suggest you search Bikini Beach or Venture Realm; they are, after all, amusement parks.
Trust me I understand...
As much as I look forward to the next installment of Roomies I totally understand the struggles with the muse... I was 5 chapters in to what was going to be the epic fantasy supernatural tale... Then she took a hike... Out of desperation I even wrote a super short story and posted it thats ABOUT the struggle with my muse... Figures that worked sort of... I've got a new story and I'm nowhere closer to continuing my epic story...
Post when your muse allows, when you do I will read it.

I know I’m weird. The fact that I’m trans is probably one of the more normal things about me.
Every writer who has ever written a word knows what...
you're going through. Working, working, working, words flowing like water out of a tap, then the muse packs her bags, takes a hike and leaves you gasping like a fish out of water.
Whatever you do, do not stop writing. Keep your routine. Write about anything, even if it is nothing more than a description of the bubbles from a glass of soda floating up, getting caught under the ice cubes, joining together to make their way though the maze of frozen water, their struggle to reach the surface, where they pop.
Eventually she'll return, wearing her big floppy hat, sunglasses and tan lines, rested and ready to help you pick up where you left off.
Your are overlooking the reality...
that all readers of Big Closet stories are long used to our favorite tales dribbling out, one small gem at a time, weeks to years apart. I am totally delighted to have occasional reminders that you are still writing, and enormously enjoy the segments as they come. I would get really sad and depressed if you held off posting anything for months and years at at time until it was all done. And you really don't need to worry about readers having a satisfying and consistent journey. I always re-read the story from the start anyway when I see the last chapter, and sometimes before as well. Also, I support what everyone else said about the creative muse.
I'm just glad that you are still planning to continue writing.
I'm busy making up a list of my favorite BCTS authors and stories. I spent ages trying to track down Roomies and Rumspringa to add to my list. And after sampling more of your stories, I've decided to add three of them to my to-read list.
So I'm really, REALLY pleased to see that you plan to continue writing. I especially hope you continue writing Roomies. Thank you.
