There are many on here, myself included, who have faced, are currently facing, or will eventually face severe crises in their lives. I think we, as a community of like-minded individuals, should have a contingency plan in place to support and aid our peers. I'd like to, with the permission of the moderators, form a support group where anyone, at any time, could come and safely find the support, understanding, and guidance they need to face life's challenges. Of course, this would mean that people would need to be willing to give of their time (and possibly limited resources) at odd hours, but with great sacrifice often comes even greater rewards. I will support Haylee in her effort to form a support group. My outlook is simple life is a book and a new page starts tomorrow, I also can't change other people so why try. Those who have upset me have been removed from my contact list ( my wife did not talk to her Dad in 20 years and brother for last 25 years and sister text on birthday). I live by my rule of I don't give a worry about anything other than my wife and 2 boys.
I am fortunate not to deal with depression which runs in my family, my sister and I take after my dad my brother takes after moms side he tried suicide twice, a look for attention it did get him the right meds.

I think you need to explain..,
How the support group will be different from the normal blog pages. A huge amount of these comprise people's problems and others supporting them.
How it will work
I want to compile a list of people on site that are willing to intervene on behalf of readers that are facing problems which (to them, at least) seem overwhelming. The volunteers would be willing to receive PMs from the individual and aid them through their rough patch. The only foreseeable problem is that the individual would need to make the first step by contacting a member of the support group, who then would have the responsibility of either assisting the reader themselves (if they think they share similar problems), or pass it along to the group at large, for someone more familiar with that particular problem to handle. We all have certain areas of expertise and experience, as well as certain faults and weaknesses. By combining our efforts, hopefully, we'll be able to pull those in need from the pit or the precipice of despair.
