I just came across this article. My apologies if it's already been noted here, but I haven't been closely following the news and blog posts.
This is the kind of story I'm sure many will find either heartwarming, inspiring their inner muse, or both!

They're smiling and singing and happy- THAT'S CHILD ABUSE!
The article did put a smile on my face, which even the comments below it couldn't take away. These were about what I expected, calling this happy place insanity, liberal indoctrination + child abuse. I should've had such abuse!

The story is from the AP but the website is the Charlotte Observer...as in Charlotte, North Carolina...as in bathroom bill idiocy.
The comments are what you'd expect from sheeple rustled by the usual preachers and bandwagon politicians.
I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime
NC
The City of Charlotte began the whole process by doing the RIGHT thing by passing a city ordinance protecting transgender rights. The State Legislature responded by passing a state-wide series or regulations which in effect invalidated the city's brave stand.

It's a camp in California
It's a camp in California near San Francisco, for trans kids, painted in a positive light, that's enough to rile up the sheeple regardless of the city's previous stance.
I'll back away from responding, I only wanted to point out something important that got overlooked.

sorry - you're quite right
it's saddening - the folks who tried to do the right thing would seem to be out-shouted or just ignored/not published by the folks who control commentary on that media site/paper. sigh.....

Summer camp for trans kids
I saw this item this morning on the San Francisco Chronicle's Web site. El Cerrito, where the camp is held, is about ten mile from my home. I'm always happy to see good news from California. I hope the idea spreads. Imagine, children as young as four being allowed to actually live their lives!
