“I refuse to allow anyone to use me and my horrific sexual assault to cause harm and discrimination to others...”

On March 5th of this year Kelly Herron was assaulted in a park bathroom in Washington state and badly beaten as she fought off her would be rapist and captured him for the police.
Weeks later a friend called her and told her that a group (Just Want Privacy) trying to pass another one of these anti-trans bathroom bills in her state was using photographs of her battered face as proof of what allowing trans people use the "wrong" bathroom would lead to. The group hadn't asked her, and she was really really pissed off at being used by them to promote a bill that she is 100% against and has nothing to do with her being attacked by a cis male rapist.
Like she had her original attacker, Kelly fought back against these creeps who thought they could use her (her story and image) however they wanted. And like him, they had seriously underestimated this beautiful bad-ass sister.
There's a lot of good stuff in the article but I don't want to repost the whole thing, so here's the link:

But to quote one part briefly, here's what Ms. Herron (who actually knows what she's talking about) had to say about this bogus issue drummed up by these fearmongers trying prey on voter's ignorance in order to punish transgender people for existing and to control the narrative of how we are defined:
“I have transgender friends, I have transgender co-workers,” she told The Daily Beast. “When I see them in the bathroom I ask them about their lip gloss. My transgender friends, just like me, want to use the bathroom and get out safely. It’s that simple.”

Onto bookface.
I am constantly outraged
by the misuse of information, facts and figures especially by groups seeking to profit for political ends. This bunch of muther**ckers should be exposed for the liars and charlatans they are, preying on peoples fears to achieve their aims. Well done that young woman for standing up to them.
