The following lists is in order of my personal opinion based on each person when they were, again in my opinion, at their peak. There are a least a few on the list who would challenge my firm beliefs about my sexual preference.
For example: Robert Redford in The Natural is . . . quite attractive.

Unfortunately, Patrick Stewart always seemed like the perfect dad, and not the least bit sexy to me. I guess my sexiest voice list might include Edward Everett Horton and Hank Azaria.
But, thinking of George Takei, my sexiest females list should have included Nichelle Nichols.

Several days ago I published a blog listing the sexiest women of all time. It's a silly exercise. For instance, I forgot Audrey Hepburn, who should have been in the top two.. .and Katherine Hepburn, who should have been in the top ten. Maybe I had Hepburn Block? I also forgot Mrs. Kozak, my junior high music teacher. A terrible oversight as she was my first crush.
More interesting is that yesterday I published a similar list of men. Just as silly . . . but that list barely received a response, where the other list was probably my all-time most commented blog.
What does this say about us as a community? Maybe nothing? And then again, maybe we're afraid to admit that we find certain men sexually attractive. I'm hetero . . . but come on . . . who doesn't find Brad Pitt attractive????

All choices are biased
Women are critically looked at for their beauty, or not. We look at roses, field of flowers, beautiful horse, beautiful sunrise-sunset, adorable babies, etc. Each examined subconsciously for how or why it or they catch our attention. Then we look consciously when our attention is focused.
Women, is the face asymmetrically balanced? Are there flaws? Was she an artist applying makeup or typical now days and toss anything at the face? The overall picture got our attention and then we scope out the fine details on how it all came together.
Her attire draws us to her dress co-ordination and does it accent her figure which we scrutinize. Tossing on something to hide a naked body so she can go mall cruising takes zero effort and it always shows. She might be engaged, married, or just plain not interested but jeeze lady! No need to look like a Walmart Shopper. Yeah, I'm the Fashion Police and you look like a pig with...? Did you come out of the human gene pool? Please don't have kids.
We don't look at men for beauty. We look at them for handsome. It isn't the same. Does his facial features project a strong chin, steady intelligent eyes, and hair is nice but not a rejection if it isn't all there. Is there strength in the shoulders, the hands, his chest? After all most women want men to be able to protect and provide for them if necessary. The clothes? Who hasn't felt their pulse quicken when encountering a hunk not wearing a shirt, sweat glistens off his body and his muscles ripple as he moves?
As a writer I analyze everyone who catches my eye. Why did I want to take another look? Three days ago I meet the perfect model for a story I'm writing. Tall, actually skinny, boots, jeans, denim blouse, hat, short bob for a hair style, and then the face. Damn what a beautiful face and if she was wearing makeup it was minimal. The girl was Mindy straight out of my story. I was in shock.
Slow, really slow brain. I got to the checkout stand and thought, picture, I need a picture. I retraced hoping to find her. I'd pay to be able to take her picture and rights to use it in the story. The moral to this story is one who hesitates may never get another opportunity.
Maybe what I see in male or female is totally different than normal people?

Only two problems with your list (for me) is that I would have put Mel Gibson higher for Mad Max days (I don't watch those movies for the cars...necessarily) and where is Chris Hemsworth?

One guy who didn't make the sexiest guy list is Rock Hudson. Another is Tab Hunter. Maybe one of them said it? Maybe that's why they aren't on the list. And whatever happened to Randolph Scott? (Only a rumor.)
Here's another name for the list, Tim Curry; #5 on my sexiest male voice parade. (Johnny Cash is #4. James Earl Jones, Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, John Wayne and Sidney Poitier are #s 6-10, though not necessarily in that order.)
