I was lucky enough to see Your Name at the cinema this weekend. For those who aren't familiar with the movie. It is an Japanese animated movie about a teenage boy and girl who have never met but somehow start swapping bodies.
I don't want to spoil anything but it is a beautifully told story about relationships, being a teenager and unrequited love. Simply put it is a story that could have appeared on this site. It's also just been shortlisted for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars this year. I encourage anyone who can to see this movie. It's only being shown in a few places but it is well worth tracking down. Check it out.You won't be disappointed.

Only time and place
Only time and place I can find this movie playing is in Los Angeles in early December. I live near San Bernardino so that is barely doable for me, anyone have better info on times and places?

Limited release
The movie is in limited release to quality for the Oscars. It should have a wider release in early 2017.

According to IMDB
The movie was premiered in the USA on 3 July 2016 at an anime expo. Then the official release occurred in Japan on 26 August 2016. It is not slated for release in the USA until 2 December 2016, and apparently only in one city (Los Angeles, California). MoviePhone doesn't have anything more on it.
Looks like waiting for the movie on DVD/Blue-Ray might be the way to go (which does not appear to be announced yet).

I saw a review of this yesterday
on the BBC News at around 06:30. Mark Kermode was really positive about it and he is preety good with his reviews.
I would love for this to get a wider than normal audience. From the clips I saw, it was beautifully done.
Mark said that it was a re-working of one of Aesops fables. The presenter corrected him by saying that the Japanese story that this came from was a lot older. Who came first eh?
The review should be available on the BBC somewhere for at least a week.

Early December means it'll
Early December means it'll come out on DVD/Blu-ray in early to mid March, probably no later than early April.
