For the first time, a story of mine has reached 100 Kudos: "Bikini Beach: A Boy's Visit". For the past few days, I was watching it as a race between that story (posted a year and a third ago) and my latest, "The Family Council", posted Tuesday.
"Council" had shot up to the 70s, and then slower into the 90s. Meanwhile, "Visit" was inching up step-by-step, 96...97...98...99... So which would win? Turns out "Visit" hit first and won.
I thought it would be interesting to look at the top stories in hits, Kudos, and ratio -- in particular, the top three for each. The hit numbers are slightly behind, and of course the stories overlapped -- only five stories spanned the entire tops.

A surprise: I got not only the three highest K/H ranking stories, but also the two lowest -- and nothing in between. JLN had the third highest Kudo#, but had the lowest K/H, because it had by far the highest hits.
What does this all mean? Beats the heck outa me.

I am surprised that it was the only one so far to break the milestone given how clever and subtle your stories can be. And before you say otherwise BB: A Boy's Visit is both.

Constantly seeing "Bikini Beach" while devouring your profile has convinced me to reread the entire series. More on topic, seeing those statistics was interesting. I'm wondering if the reason Bikini Beach has less kudos is because readers have read the series on different sites, which is true for me. I'm not even sure if the entire series is on this site.
