The opening salvo (parts 1-4) to my original "A Bikini Beach Summer" just recently surpassed 10000 hits. It's still a distant second to "John's Living Nightmare" at 14500. Similarly, my standalone BB story, "BB: A Boy's Visit" has broken through 6000 hits.
"The Bridge" might hit 3000 sometime this year; I don't know.

At first I was shocked
By mistake I read the hit number as 100k. 10k is more reasonable. Impressive but not as shocking.
If you like playing around with words "The Bridge is well worth reading.
Playing...
I would be so euphoric if a story of mine got 100,000 hits -- as long as they were live human hits -- not bots. I once read an old blog by Katie Leone, where she raved with with surprise at getting 30,000 hits for "The Dress Punishment". I went to the story and found -- well, now it's over 150,000 hits.
Thank you for recommending "The Bridge". I also had the opportunity to play with numbers with the story: More Math Silliness. It's still quite strange. With fewer than half the hits of the two ahead, it's still third in Kudos -- rather close, too. It was second at the time of the posting. Since then, "BB: A Boy's Visit" has inched ahead.

Update
"The Bridge" has either crept or surged forward, and now ties "Our Daughter's Prom Date" as first in kudos, 191. "BB: A Boy's Visit" is next at 185 kudos. Do we call that second place or third place? It will definitely be third place the next time one of the first two gets a kudo.
