I just got the news a few minutes ago. Felix, Katie's boyfriend texted me. Katie passed away after they got home from their paper route this morning. Heart attack, apparently.
Remember Katie who just wanted to touch people with her stories. She was my friend. And think of Felix who loved her.

A fan of her writing but she offered advice and help getting started with Kindle that no one else offered.
We all have our time and I guess this was hers, i'm always comforted by a sudden end, I can't think of anything worse than a long lingering end.

I don't know what to say as to not go wrong. I hope felix is okay. I offer my condolences to everyone touched by her and wish for her to rest in peace. Let her memory live on through her stories and everything she has done to help others.
She will remain in our hearts and dearly missed.

Another familiar name has gone
A sad farewell to Katie. It is always a sad time when a familiar name here passes away. May you rest in peace now your time is done dear.
Yet another name to be added to the memorial list, it always saddens me when I realise how many names have been added since I first started to pay attention to it (That was with the death of Teddi Aldoennetti which really shook me at the time.)

I am very late to this. Few days back I saw her name in the memoriam so I asked Erin and she told me what happened to her. I just want to leave a few words for her.
"Your story touch many. Well it makes me shed tears in some part and laugh in others. I will always remember your poem; The Flower that Wanted to Grow and that song by Neil Sedaka - Laughter in the rain. I will remember all this because of you. Reast in peace dear Katie Leone." God bless.
