She will be missed
Last I heard she was all set to start on a new story combining characters from two story sets. I was trying to be her new editor but she never did get back with me.

It is a long road ahead but I will finally become who I should be.
I just talked with her wife....
...Beth had been experiencing flu-like symptoms but thought things would improve. When things didn't get better, she ended up going to the hospital. The doctors found that she had a very bad infection, and began treating it, but it had progressed too much, and she passed away on Wednesday.
This is such a shock and a tremendous loss for us all, but I am devastated. Our friend ship goes back to almost the same time I came to BC. We became close enough that she began calling me her twin and I her. As a minister, she also gave me spiritual counsel that helped me integrate my gender issues with my faith. And her friendship gave me encouragement and hope..
Please remember her family in your thoughts and prayers.

We only corresponded sporadically but even in those all-too-few moments of communing she was always available and quite caring. I filed several of her pieces because of their sensitivity. The very thought of her passing lessens us all. :(

Beth was a personal friend
We had lunch together about three weeks ago. She was a bright, funny, caring person and I didnt see her often enough.
She will be missed.

Beth had a rough life, but always seemed to overcome. She rarely, if ever, had an unkind word for others and she befriended many. She will be missed.

She came up to NorCal for the picnic here a few years ago, so she's one of the handful of folks on the site that I ever met personally. (Holly Hart was another.)
