It's 3 am and I'm at my friends house spending the night. My friends mother will take me in just under 4 hours to the hospital where I'm going to have surgery on my deviated septum. Normally this is outpatient, but I get to spend the night.
Why am I up this early and not sleeping?
Partly due to the anxiety I always get with these things, and partly because I couldn't breath and woke up some congestion an hour ago.
It's fun stuff. I tried for over an hour to fall back asleep, but it's not happening so I gave up. Plenty of time for sleep while in recovery. I'm not worried that anything bad will happen in the surgery, just anxious.
I'll be off everything including chat for a few days while I recover. In a few weeks, I'll be breathing better, have better sleep and just perform better at life, which includes staying awake when I should be and writing.

Get well fast girl,
And maybe they can do a little shaping while they are about it? A friend of mine had FFS and it corrected a deviated septum, a beni she had not expected.
We'll miss you while you're out.
Best of luck
I know all about anxiety keeping a person awake at night. I'll be thinking of you and I hope all goes smoothly during your recovery. It'll be good to have you writing, but most of all it will be good to have you back and healthy.
