Honestly I do not think they are made to be taken apart by the owner.
There may be some secret I am not priviey to that a more up to date technician may suggest, but I suspect the device is like my Galaxy tab 2 10 inch and is designed to be disposable. At 300 + dollars that is a big chunk for the convenience. The batteries inside are just as prone to failure as the ones in a laptop and have more demanded of them for their size than the replaceable ones in a laptop or net book.
I will continue my quest as I suspect there is a way but it eludes me at this time.
