Well, today has been a pretty tough day.
I am missing my car while my mom has to use it because hers is at the shop, I couldn't go to my group therapy today without a vehicle, I tried to make myself some mac and cheese only to spill it before I even got a bite, I broke the handle off the stove trying to get off the floor after I cleaned up the mess, and in the process scraped my knee raw, and I got a phone call from my work informing me that somehow my vacation request had gone missing and therefore I could be without pay for the last week - although the girl called me back to tell me the problem was fixed and I'd get cash instead of a direct deposit.
And you know what, after all that?
I'm okay.

It's A Wonderful Life - If You Don't Weaken
Today the sun managed to break through the clouds for a few hours, making it warm enough (just) to go out without a jacket. So I strolled up to Carley Hill on the northern edge of the city, and sat on a rock munching a few early blackberries while I gazed out across the fields and reflected on the inevitable march of the seasons. After a mile or two I found a pub called the Duck and Kangaroo, which looked like it hadn't been open since the turn of the century. On the way home I bought a strawberry Viennetta to guzzle after my rice and vegetables.
This combination of exercise and unabashed gluttony led me to fall asleep just after I'd eaten. I woke up an hour and a half later with cramp in both thighs. Then some idiot's house alarm kept going off.
But there was football on the BBC I-player and pear cider in the fridge. I'm mellow.
