With thanks to Billy Joel

Well you look at her sideways as if she’s not there.
She started out different…so what if you care!?
You think that she’s false, well I know that’s not fair!
She may not be perfect but she’s always a woman to me.

It’s not something she looked for, not something she sought.
It’s not a disease, it’s not something she caught!
It’s something she’s blessed with but that’s all for naught
since you think that she’s flawed but she’s always a woman to me.

Oh…she’s got charm and appeal...
She’s just like you; she’s quite real;
Sad that some folks don’t let her feel okay.
Oh…every time her heart breaks...
One more hurt…goodness sakes
When she’s told just to go away...

She might have started out different
Named Jimmy or Lee.
But she realized her heart
Was a girl’s, goodness me!
She’s all woman; oh my gosh can’t you see?
It just doesn’t matter
‘Cause she’s always a woman to me….

The Words Are Just Fine

Your ability with words is magic, and you'll always be a woman to me.

Always a Woman to me...

In the words of Joe Cocker, "You are so Beautiful (Drea)to Me". Like a song you play in one's mind. There are some keys and cords that get repeated, yet like jazz and the blues not always predictable and with changes here and there. It is as though a new breeze changes the wind.

The Woman within has a beauty that may or may not be seen. Thanks to friends who can see and accept. Drea, it is nice to have friends like you who share the song.

As usual, you capture the essence effortlessly,

Joanne

Absolutely, melodicly, delightful!

As always your pitch and tone are perfect as you sing a song of most of us.

You're "Always a woman" to those who know and love you.

Thank you,

Toddy Bear

Drea, This is another piece

Drea, This is another piece of music that I will now have in my head for about the next week or so. I do love it however. As soon as I read the first 4 lines, I was immediately singing the melody with your words. Wonder if you can get Billy Joel to sign this version?
