Another Christmas come, another Christmas gone.
As it came and went, I spent it alone. Family spent it together, while I'm 20 miles away in a dorm. with no one else around. I guess I should expect that though. They never did accept me. The days blend together anymore for me. I was only faintly aware of it's existence when my co workers wished me a merry christmas sunday.
I hope the rest of you had a merry christmas though. I'm just going to go back into what ever hole I've been hiding in the last few months.

im sorry
That sucks. I cant imagine ever spending Christmas alone, it must blow. Why didnt you try to spend it with friends, thats the next best thing.

I'm usually on my own at Christmas
and thoroughly enjoy it.

My friends all have their own
My friends all have their own families. And Brenna was off in thailand getting the final surgery done. So, with no one around. I just....did nothing.
Never be afraid to push yourself to new limits. While you might not see the path, you will be amazed at what you can achieve.
Hey
I know we aren't there.
But we ARE here.

you got people who care here, don't forget that.
Alone
is a state of mind. NOT healthy to be in on occasions like Christmas, but one takes what one can. Your co-worker wished you a Merry Christmas ... there's one, if you like. Question is, are you in a position to see it, and if not, what can be done to correct that.
Christmas can be a hard one ... expecially if you come from a tradition of holding it well. My own tradition, if you will, but it went sour for me personally quite some time ago. I, thankfully, am not the one directly under the hammer, but shielding the selected target has done me no favours.
You do what you have to. One day, one step at a time, whatever it takes to make it right to go on. The only defeat is accepting it.
I like alone
I like alone. I haven't seen family since my mom died some 20 years ago. I don't talk to any of them except my older brother. I did call him and a few friends to wish Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I refuse to fly anymore because of the stupid security theater at the airports.
I sat up most of the night, as usual, reading stories and watching anime while the internet speeds are best. I kept my proton pack and ghost traps handy in case any previous acquaintances or spirits showed up.
I used to have a small tree I kept decorated and in a box in the closet until needed but that disappeared. I sort of think my helper or one of my friends tossed it.
I looked at lights on-line all over the world and I saw no reason to wrap the Blu rays and DVDs I bought for myself.
I'm with you in that, since
I'm with you in that, since my wife died 7 1/2 years ago and my family is spread out over multiple states. While my daughter still lives with me she spends most holidays (and weekends) with her boyfriend and his family. So I'm alone most of the time. It's not that bad as I have become involved with a couple of mmorpgs, so I do get some socialization.
May you find peace in whatever circumstances you find yourself in, and may your lot in life improve with age.
Hugs,
Mark <3
