I set the donations goal for November at only $1000 so we could start December at $0 instead of continuing to be a whole month off. November also completed our 14th year of running BigCloset!
I actually have a couple of donated stories to put in the Hatbox which should happen soon, this weekend, I hope. This continues to be a problem for me to get done, it takes several hours to put up even one story because of formatting and security issues. In the next month or so, I want to re-work how The Hatbox functions so this is less of a hassle. Stay tuned.
Both Piper and I have had some unexpected expenses, medical, dental and otherwise, and Piper's main home computer blew the motherboard the other day. We also made one of the long term payments on our hosting this past month. We're going to need a couple of new hard drives in the next 3 months or so, too. I have been unable to gain on my long term debt, it's still hovering at around $10,000.
As usual, any donations you can give will be very appreciated and will allow Piper and I to devote time to keeping BCTS and other TG websites open and operating instead of spending that time earning money some other way. If you can't give, that's okay of course, we understand. For one thing, it's Christmas coming up and a lot of nearly everyone's budget is going to be spent on that.

Disappointment and anger
Once again, Erin has to beg for the money to keep things going on BC. And once again the seeming lack of response upsets me. That Erin has to do this regularly reflects poorly on the majority of people on BC. I've made my own arraignments with Erin and I have donated, past and present. I have been out of work two years and I have crippling health issues, yet I manage to make a contribution as often as I can. $50 here, $100 there, not a lot of money but its the best I can do right now.
Not everybody can afford to contribute right now, I understand. But if the remaining members would each kick in a buck or two each month, well it all adds up and it would help take a horrific weight off Erin's and Piper's shoulders.
I'm not going to finish this the way I'd like to, I'd piss off even more people than currently dislike me now. Just come on, people, is the pleasure you get from BC not worth a buck or two?

I just did a 2 year subscription to help out. Can I really afford it? No. But this site and all the wonderful people here have helped keep me sane on many a night.

I wish I could do more
Sadly I have zero money and no income at the moment. I still have to figure out how to scrape together money for my meds this month and pray that my laptop doesn't die again. I am working on a few story ideas right now that I could donate to the hatbox if it would help but I'm not really sure what the guidelines and such for donated stories are. Other than that I can't think of any way I have to help out at the moment.
I really wish I were able to do more because this site does so much for TG fiction and both the authors and the readers here benefit greatly from it.
