We got in a big check for the server fund in June but other donations for the Hatbox are very behind. The way this is going to work is that when we make the goal for the month, I will donate $500 to the server fund from the Hatbox. Also, donations that come in marked for Server Fund will go there.
So, anything you can chip in will be good. We will probably be using the server fund around October/November to upgrade at least one of the servers to a 3 to 5 year life machine. The other machines may have to wait till next year.

Why I Haven't been donating
I really enjoy coming here and reading the stories but now I have to freeload and I hate doing that. I should probably just keep quiet about my problems but I feel really bad about not contributing to the upkeep of Big Closet, so here's why I stopped. NOT because I want to, but because I went to get new glasses late last year. Yup, glasses...
And the optometrist saw something in my eye that concerned him. So I got sent to an eye specialist. And he said... Diabetic Macular Edema (DME)
I've had diabetes for almost 30 years, so it shouldn't have surprised me, but being told I was going to go blind hit me kinda hard. But the doctor said there was a drug that might help. Lucentis. Problem is, it's expensive. $1,700.00 a shot. Every four weeks. In the eyeball. In his clinic in a city 5 hours from where I live.
So, not much 'disposable income' left here.
The only good thing is that the drug seems to be working, or at least keeping the DME from progressing.
Anyhow, that's no help to Erin and BCTS, so I hope others can step up and help fund this place.

... then I will pay you a year's worth of the costs.
But until then, it will have to be a continuation of the dribs and drabs I can spare after my monthly 1200 pay cheque ..... :-(
I do so enjoy this community, it would be so sad to see it disappear.

I was thinking of doing so but did not when the server died prematurely -- I donated a few months before -- but now you clearly are very hard up so I will help.
Am off this week so I have the time.
Consider it a donation in honor of Misstress Cally our late cat, suvrived by her loved ones and a littermate who misses her greatly, Rusty. I swear he is grieving.
These were taken two hours before she was uthenized.
