She had to be torn between the need to be her and her need to be there for you probably really badly...maybe she hopes needs this to be the person and partner you really deserve.

She Apologized for not waking me, but I was sleeping for once and the Clinic in Thailand had called with a last minute availability. I did not realize how much she wanted this as she had been afraid to bring it up. So still afraid about her being there by herself.
