Delaying some dreams

No matter how much I don't want it to be so, my van is gone. That has a few ramifications on my life and I'm not happy with them but I will have to make due.

First ramification, my roommate loses his job. I let him use my van so he could do a paper route. He was the one driving when idiot-boy hit and ran the van. My roommate is okay. He isn't at fault and I am doing my best to not blame him but my anger wants some place to go. Without him working I also miss out on 400 on rent.

That 400 was paying for electrolysis which I will now give up for the meantime until something gives. \

I was going to replace the computer that got stolen a year ago. I was thinking of either getting a 220 barebones system from tiger direct or a netbook (or both eventually). The crooks from last year made me lose both. A netbook would be valuable because I could take it to work and edit. The barebones system would have been fun because I have internet but no cable so the computer is my source of entertainment.

I was also going to get ahead on my credit cards. Oh well.

Now I have to save to replace my van. I will have to rent an extra vehicle on Sundays to do my job (which sucks) and try to salt away 1000 dollars to get van or SUV. There is a major auction here every month so I can get one cheap like that. Since it is only driven once a week I can make due with something high mileage.

So. In the end. I won't pay for electrolysis and will take the van off of my insurance (I hope they catch this moron). That will clear 210 dollars. So all in all I miss out on 190 bucks a month. Renting the car on Sunday will be a wash because I will use Junior as my helper and not pay another 20 dollars so cool.

Sorry I was so negative yesterday, but the wound is still fresh. Pictures are up on my facebook page (Katie Leonard)
