So it would seem my Muse doesn't want me to write lately. I've hit a huge bump with my latest story---Dance With the Devil---I just can't figure out what I want to do with it or where to take it narrative wise. So I'm going to put it on the backburner for now. I've got a few other ideas in the works but it might be a little bit before I get them rolling so bear with me.
Oh and a serious question, are people tired of the DRU genre. I've noticed a declining interest in all DRU stories as of late?
I await your answers :)

Declining interest? Bah, humbug!
I, for one, eagerly await each new installment of a DRU adventure - Amethyst (Sena Island) and Elsbeth (Skogshaven) appear to be largely running the show at the moment, with Drakira and Heather being our Ravencrest correspondents. If readership has gone down, it may simply be due to a splurge in non-DRU tales being posted (particularly with the Valentine's contest last month) - not to mention several new authors churning out stories.
I personally think the DRU's got the potential to have far more life in it than The Center or the Comics Retcon Universe, each of which had more constraints (Towards the end of its life, Center tales started falling into the 'plot by numbers' trap, while Comics Retcon is obviously limited by the name / appearance / abilities of the central characters). Currently the DRU isn't so much one universe, but three sub-universes (Ravencrest, Skogshaven, Sena Island) with relatively little interaction between them: authors are free to create a town and dozens of characters of varying types within it. It even has the potential to do a Whateley and expand beyond its TG roots...
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
Yep ^
What mittfh said :)
exactly
I've been waiting for new releases but their trickling out lately... i'm *very* interested in the Bloodlines/Heiress story and "a Pixies Honor".
I'll still read them
Though even from the beginning it's been like with the CRU: it's gotta be the right author, and the right type of character, otherwise I'll either lose interest or never develop it to begin with.
In your case, though, it's usually a big hit, so I'd definitely like to see more. Of either one, in fact, given that you've got at least two CRU characters -- Blue Beetle and Green Arrow -- I'm still eagerly awaiting more stories/chapters from :P

Dru? Whats that?
Its probably a chapter story. When its done ill start reading it.
DRU = Dark Realms Universe
Actually DRU is whole host of chapter stories.
Here is a DRU Story Index cum Timeline that gives an approximate overview of the chronological order of the stories and also their setting. This documment also gives an indication if the story is completed or not.
I have spent a great deal of time compiling a spreadsheet of characters and timelines, in order to keep the relationships between mayor and minor players straight.
After being distracted by RL issues (abduction of my younger daughter and rebellion of the older), work, personal issues and two holiday contests here on BCTS, I need to get back to catching up on the DRU stories.
For me the teen angst and life issues really speak to me. For many of the unseen teens, they have to grow up fast upon reaching their sixteenth birthday, since most of them have been kept in the dark about their "real" heritage up to that point. Throw in some other "mythical creatures" and you have a rather convoluted mix of relationships, disagreements, conflicts and (above all) friendships.
So, I hope more readers are willing to take a plunge and start reading DRU. A great starting point is the DRU Timeline I mentioned above.

I am following nearly all of the dru stories, just need them more often posted
EOF, I avidly read
all of your stories. Am looking forward to more.
May Your Light Forever Shine
Read them all
There are 4-9 authors on this sight that I follow including all of the DRU authors and a small handful of others. (Though I do have to say that I like the Ravencrest side of DRU more than the other 2.)

almost the opposite
I've read them all too... i love all 3 towns and it's hard to put a finger on one and say "i like this one better" ...but if i can only pick one, i'd have to go with Sena Island. Just because it's the most seemingly normal of the three... Skogshaven has the wooded park, where everyone in town knows that people dissapear into and yet they dont investigate it's abnormality, they just carry on like it's buisness as useual. then Ravencrest has the whole time distortion thing.... you'd think that people would eventually question that (call in a scientific investigative team or something)... instead they just call it one of the town's "Quirks". Sena Island *does* have the Valley out in the forest, but at least it's out in the wilderness, people can assume that a missing person simply got lost and fell or something.
anyway, that's my pick and reasoning behind it... as i said though, it's a hard choice to make, all the characters are great. But then some of my favorite characters are in Skogshaven, I Love the pixie Poppie...
DRU stories
EOF,
I'm another one who reads every DRU story/chapter published. While I have enjoyed some more than others, I've liked all of them so far and have not missed a chapter.

I don't think
its a lack of interest. I know I eagerly await new installments, as I awaited The Center installments, and others. I think its more likely the usual writers are, or have, written in the DRU, so new authors are getting scarcer. We still have no stories about the were-bears, or the cougars to amount to anything, and still have no ideas on the "missing" statue on the fountain. There are plenty of things in the other towns also, and new towns should still be open.
I'm Not Stopping
I'm not going to stop writing in the DRU...just Kylie's story for now. I've actually got one I'm looking forward to reading. I just had a talk with someone a while ago, expressing my thoughts on the matter. How I thought the genre was dying and she suggested I try a new genre...something I wasn't keen on doing. I was just curious if there was still interest in the supernatural genre :)
As soon as I get the new story together, I'm definitely writing it and putting it up :)

Please Continue with the DRU
EOF - I for one avidly read all your DRU stories, but I am a bad person, and tend to download mostly finished stories/finished stories to my Kindle to read at my leisure rather than squinting at my computer all night. Because of that, (and the fact I ceased being a lurker on the site about 2 months ago...) I haven't commented or given Kudos where I should have. Nevertheless, I love your stories and most, if not all, of the DRU stories have captivated me.
So please do not stop writing them! xxoxxx
au contraire!
I spent the last week looking through the DRU wiki and have begun reading through all the stories in the DRU -- up to now I've only read yours.
So, speaking for myself, my interest is actually ramping up. (I'm hoping to find a place to insert a story of my own, if I can, but right now I'm only at the point of vague images and ideas.)
One thing I have noticed in my own daily hit counts is: the more often I post, the more interest there is in all my stories. And so, when you post something, you see a general rise in interest.

I'm still reading them
…many of them for the second time.
