Two days and about $400 bucks. Might not seem like a lot for some people but this is for a tiny unit in a mobile home. Heck, in today's economy, that's about 2/3 the value of the home.
Hope this motor lasts another 40 years. The first entry in the service log on the unit was November 1973.

It's interesting
The life of most heating units is set at about 30 years. It's like they time these things to break down after a certain time.
It's good that the furnace is working.
Those of us in the north may think it funny when folks in the southern tier of the country have to deal with cooler temperatures. Of course, you can laugh at us when we are dealing with temps over 100.

We probably would laugh at you except if its over 100 up there it's the seventh circle of hell down here. We just don't have the energy to laugh, we are too busy cranking up the AC and guzzling water.
On a more grim note I wonder which kills more, unusual heat in the north or extreme cold in the south. I know there are lots of car accidents down here when it gets bad and up y'alls way people start dropping like flies since they don't have ACs.

Stay warm. The whole furnace thing, is why I installed electric baseboard heaters in my mobile home when I remodeled. My electric bills are high, but gas bills small.

To make friends with a person who sells Forced air furnace parts for your unit. Having lived with a mobile home before I found that most of these have Miller brand units. I was able to locate an entire replacement unit used, for about one half of what this cost you. There are also used parts on line. Was it the blower motor or if yours is oil the gun motor.
I have more than a passing familiarity with this subject having sold parts for them so PM me and I may have a solution or work around for you.
