An outage at the server farm confused our main server so that it did not come
back online properly. This happened at a time when both Piper and I
were away from easy access to the site. Fixing it was simple when we got back in
communication.

Sorry about that. Previous outages this week were because of Hurricane Sandy
disrupting the Internet in a domino effect sort of way. Even though our servers
are in Denver, outages in New York, Maryland and Toronto rolled down the
information highway into a pileup in the fog.

It appears that problems related to Sandy may be over now and the server farm
outage was related to something in Europe so it should not recur, either.

This kind of stuff happens, especially when you are using a multi-server setup
that depends on some resources on other parts of the 'Net that depend on....
