OK, hold onto your hats. If you just do a casual search on the internet, you will find that there are 2, sometimes 3 girls being born for every boy. In Russia, the boys are smaller and less healthy also. This may lead to all sorts of conclusions about T folk. I am seeing a lot of it in Mormon families because they tend to have 4-7 children.

A lot of it has to do with the plastic packaging and how that, and several other environmental contaminants, plus the massive dietary changes since the 50s have lowered sperm counts, decreased motility and thus made sperm that produce females the most likely to survive the journey. Add to that the other environmental factors that are causing issues and there is little surprise there.

I have read a number of journal articles on this and it is rather interesting. The general conclusion it to eat organic, stay away from the two big additives (HFCS and Soy), and to avoid as many environmental contaminants as possible. Crazy stuff.

Might be a good thing

Not the smaller and less healthy part, but the more girls part. There are growing areas of overly male dominate populations (China and India come to mind) where that imbalance could be dangerous. I don't know that it will help the imbalance, but the world needs more girls and to maintain a proper balance.

In the worst case we can have harems... If it was really 3:2 ratio, I guess it would mean they'd start to also use women as canon fodder. Maybe a good idea if wars did affect both genders the same way. People might be less likely to support governments who think wars are an apropriate means of diplomacy.

More girls than boys...completely normal

You can check this with the bureau of weights and standards...but since the woman contributes the eggs with an X chromosome, that they are all pretty much the same. The sperm on the other differs from one to another as containing an X or a Y chromosome. There is a slight difference in weight, because the X chromosome is larger ( also means it has more genetic material). They sperm with the Y chromosome is therefore quicker, especially when you are dealing with a race of only a few centimeters. But here is the rub, because the Y chromosome has less genetic material it produces a fertilized egg, which is not as viable (likely to survive). So in the end even though more male embryos are conceived, more female embryos are carried to term by the mother and born.

Sex ratio at birth: 107 boys to 100 girls

This has been the reported statistic for as long as I can remember. Right now there are serious issues in some parts of China and India with abortion on demand producing a wildly skewed sex ratio with a whole lot more males than females.

I hadn't heard of the Russian thing, and I'd certainly like more information since it sort of fits into the same universe as two of the stories I posted here a while ago, and one that may be coming up shortly (I haven't decided where it fits best.)

Unnatural Selection

I am afraid I must disagree with the observation. A true analysis of the issue drawing on reliable sources rather than a casual search of the world wide web shows quite the opposite to be true. More boys are being born, thanks in large part to the ability of medical techniques that allow the sex of a child to be determined and unwanted females aborted.

In attempting to prove or disprove Ms. Brown's point, I suggest readers refer to actual, verifiable statistics rather than a casual search of the WWW which, as we all know, can at times be rather suspect when it comes to 'The Truth.'

A similar study was raised in the early 1900's when it was found that there was more male births than females.

The final conclusion after 40+ years was that the world population rarely stays more one sex over the other for very long. The abundance of one sex over the other seems to only last a very short time.

If you remember your grade school classes you can see what that is just by itself. As some classes were almost completely filled with boys while others were more filled with girls in the next year over.

For now just leave it and if it really did become a problem you would get signs,subtle, by the governments.

Boys:Girls New Stats

One of the issues is that there is a lot more synthetic estrogen in the environment partially due to all the plastics in the environment. Certain fertilizers also increase the estrogen.

Also, for the last four years, the American national birth rate is below sustainable levels. However if you look at population groups, Hispanics have many more children, Muslims have many more children.

MY motive for looking into all this is to see if the incidence of Transgender, Inter-sex, gay and lesbian births have increased. Right now, I think it has, but I am still working on it.

Among Brain Science folk, certain brain differences are observable, but it may be awhile before all this is in the public arena, because I think evidence of it is being suppressed until the body of evidence is overwhelming.

Forget your text books, the world is changing too rapidly.

And my family were at the early end of this. 8 girls and 3 boys were born to my parents, at least, genetically, and of the boys, 1 is me, transsexual, and the youngest is a heterosexual fetishistic crossdresser. So, only one completely "normal" male was born to my parents.

And yes, the world is changing far far too rapidly right now. The internet is fast becoming the most reliable source of information due to the speed at which it can be updated.

The data could probably be further skewed by including the numbers from Surf City, which is consistently 66% female.

One in Ten

I read a while back one in ten have some form of gender "abnormality" That includes Trans.
It funny in the 60s if you were male you had to say you in to boys or you were not trans today its
abnormality. Just like you have to see a therapist who gives you the stamp of approval of your abnormality, like gender identity disorder is a sickness the need to be cured. Oh well i never could play the game......

Situation changing rapidly

I'm not being that scientific about it, just saying what I see. I was one of three boys, and it turned out that I was Inter-sexed. Many have the mind set that humanity has been the same for millions of years, but in truth humans have gone through changes, and it seems that in the last few years, there are more changes and they are happening faster. I know this sounds like writing from some magazine you pick up at the grocery counter, but just look around you.

I see lots of young families, and I know three where there are mostly girls, with one being 5 girls, 1 boy. It would not surprise me to see the government concealing the facts.

Things like the chemicals being put in our water and the hormones in fish and what not. I think the truth is that everyone starts off in the womb as female and then some become male. So it is obvious to me that being male is a disease and I for one will fight it. No life sentence for me. Think about it, everyone who gets the disease of being male eventually dies from it, horrible and the government is doing nothing about it. I know what you are going to say, everyone who is female dies too, but I think that is mostly due to there contact with those with the y-chromosome virus. WE NEED A CURE!!!!

I dont think its environmental i think is the whole of the earth and conciseness is changing. In ancient civilizations long past shaman could change peoples genders and the majority were Bi. Look at to day with the amount of super psychic Kids, change is coming. Germany did a study and even the way clouds form is different and that don't know why. People used to laugh at the ones that we now call New age and yet quantum physics is catching up and proving them right. Change is coming and people can hid there head in the sand all that want, but the best thing to do is go back to seeing us all as one family inter connected.
One more thin i will add is girls are stronger then boys in surviving I could name a dozen situation were all the men died and only the women survived. the government is just at a loss because that see it better and try to hide it... Don't believe me just look around and don't listen to the tv spoon fead media
