I was rummaging around, re-reading older stories at FM, and ran across an unfinished story set from Lorraine B, called "The Alien Within or Holy Crap, There's An Alien In My Bed". Part 1 and 2 were posted in mid-2004, with the name given for part 3, but it appears that part 3 never emerged. I'd normally put it down to the author no longer writing, but she continued to post for another 2 years afterwards.
I figured I would ask if anyone knows about the author, or the story.
This is one of the problems with being both a compulsive reader and a speed reader. You have to continually look for more to read, and bookstores won't work unless you're independently wealthy. I've worn out copies of books, even with taking excellent care of them, and in the past, I wiped out at least two libraries. I even ended up reading westerns, because I ran out of most of the other categories :)

I am in fairly consistent contact with Lorraine.

Specifically, what is it you wish me to ask her. As this was posted 10 years ago, she may not have all the facts at her fingertips.
She did little writing for some time, though she is now working on a novel of some type, but I am not sure on what subject.
But she has a number of things happening that are taking up time, too, and hasn't been to BCTS or any of the other sites for some time.
I'll either try to get some answers or get her to come here and answer for herself.

I wanted to know if the story _was_ going to be continued, or if what was out there was all there was going to be. (The three parts at Sapphire is the most complete version, but is 'to be continued')

Stardust has 3 parts. Part 4 at Storysite ends the same as part 2 at Stardust. However Part 3 at Stardust has to be continued.

She's fine, but hasn't recently been planning on going further with the story.

Just re-read this story after a few years and l know in the past that I read part 5 somewhere. In this chapter Arlene finds she is pregnant forms an alliance with the gor'tha and the ad'lph to take on the Krea'chk and finds the former queen unfortunately I cannot remember on which site and now cannot find this chapter anywhere can anybody help me re find this chapter.
